Bombardier Aerospace 2009

During the afternoon of Sunday March 29, members of YYZ Airport Watch were once again treated to a tour of the Bombardier Aerospace factory in Downsview, Ontario. The tours at Bombardier are always popular among our members. This is due in large part to the fantastic staff and tour guides who are incredibly knowledgeable and keen to share this information with our group. Of course it goes without saying that the stars of the tour, the aircraft, are always a welcome sight. Being able to witness first hand the hard work that goes into producing some of the world's best aircraft is not something you get to see everyday.

This years tour did not disappoint. Our guides, Mr. Tom Bozanin (a second generation employee at Bombardier) & Mr. Rick Richards escorted our group through the production hangars outlining the various stages of production. Our eager participants, ever vigilant, were able to identify the numerous aircraft on site in their various stage of production. The following is a summary prepared by Airport Watch member Mike Ody on the airframes noted that day.
